John Adams College has officially launched its Mount Liberty Press. This is where we bring back lost, out-of-print works that are worth reading and remembering. Currently, our list is short; however, just like John Adams College itself, the list will grow.

King Perivale knows of a secret ivory door in his castle behind a tapestry. No one has opened the door since his grandfather disappeared through it years ago and never returned. But Perivale is interested in what is behind that door, and on the morning of his wedding day to the beautiful Princess Lilia, he decides to find out. This reprint of A.A. Milne’s play, The Ivory Door, is a fascinating tale with timeless moral principles that we hope will captivate and inspire a new generation of readers and theater lovers.

The Age of Revelation is an impassioned defense of Christianity written by an American Founding Father in response to Thomas Paine’s denunciation of religion, and specifically Christianity, in his Age of Reason. Knowing that Paine’s publishing of Common Sense at such a vital time during the American Revolution gave him prominence, Boudinot worried that Paine’s subsequent Age of Reason would cause many impressionable young readers to be persuaded to reject Christianity as well. This worry gave birth to The Age of Revelation. Boudinot uses extensive historical writings in his thorough dismantling of Paine’s arguments, exhibiting years of extensive study.
Besides these physical works, we have created the John Adams College Historical Archives, digital versions of shorter, mostly unknown works of the past, which are also worth the effort to read. We hope you enjoy them!
